Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary

Arrive in Rishikesh. Drive to Sari village (190km). Start a short 2.3km trek to the holy Deoriatal Lake (7,900 ft). Camp next to the lake. Overnight in tents.

Trek (14km) from Deoriatal to Chopta through dense forests of oak and rhododendron, passing Rohini Bugyal. Arrive in Chopta (8,700 ft). Overnight in Swiss tents.

Start early. Trek up the paved path to Tungnath Temple. Continue climbing the ridge to Chandrashila Peak (13,418 ft / 4,090m). Enjoy views of Kedar, Chaukhamba, and Nanda Devi. Descend back to Chopta. Overnight.

Drive back from Chopta to Rishikesh, passing by the holy confluences (Panch Prayag) of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. Arrive in Rishikesh in the evening.

  • Consumption of alcohol or drugs during active trekking or riding hours is strictly prohibited.
  • Ensure you are adequately covered by adventure travel insurance.
