Kedarkantha is India's most popular winter snow trek. Located inside the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary in Uttarakhand, the trek takes you through pine forests, frozen lakes (Juda ka Talab), and leads to a spectacular ridge summit at 12,500 feet, offering 360-degree views of Himalayan giants.

Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary
Assemble in Dehradun. Drive (190km) through Mussoorie and along Tons River to the base village Sankri (6,400 ft). Check in to guesthouse/homestay. Overnight in Sankri.
Start the trek. Climb through pine forests and maple trees. Arrive at the scenic campsite of Juda Ka Talab (9,100 ft). Camp by the frozen lake. Overnight in tents.
Trek through snow meadows to the Kedarkantha Base Camp (11,250 ft). The camp offers close views of the snow-clad summit. Overnight in snow tents.
Early morning summit climb (3AM start). Reach Kedarkantha Summit (12,500 ft / 3,810m) at sunrise. Enjoy panoramic views of Swargarohini, Black Peak, and Bandarpoonch. Descend to Hargaon camp (8,900 ft). Overnight in tents.
Trek down from Hargaon back to Sankri village. Celebrate the successful trek with local food. Overnight in Sankri homestay.
Drive back from Sankri to Dehradun. Arrive in Dehradun by evening. Onward journey.

- Please note that high-altitude activities require proper physical conditioning.
- Carry a valid government ID (Aadhar Card, Passport, Voter ID) at all times. PAN Card is not accepted as proof of identity at army checkpoints.
- Climatic conditions at high elevations can change rapidly. Always follow instructions of the tour guide/expedition leader.
- Consumption of alcohol or drugs during active trekking or riding hours is strictly prohibited.
- Ensure you are adequately covered by adventure travel insurance.
