Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary
Drive (260km) from Rishikesh along the Ganga and Alaknanda rivers. Pass through confluences Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag. Arrive in Govindghat. Overnight in guesthouse.
Drive 4km to Pulna. Trek 10km along the Lakshman Ganga river to Ghangaria village (9,600 ft), the base camp for the valley. Check in to guesthouse. Overnight.
Trek 4km to the Valley of Flowers National Park. Spend the day walking among carpets of blooming wild lilies, blue poppies, and orchids. Return to Ghangaria. Overnight.
Steep 6km climb to the holy lake and Gurudwara Hemkund Sahib (15,200 ft). Walk around the cold glacial lake. Descend back to Ghangaria. Overnight.
Trek 10km down from Ghangaria to Pulna, drive to Govindghat / Joshimath. Relax and celebrate. Overnight in guesthouse.
Drive back to Rishikesh. Arrive in Rishikesh in the evening. Onward journey.

- Carry a valid government ID (Aadhar Card, Passport, Voter ID) at all times. PAN Card is not accepted as proof of identity at army checkpoints.
- Climatic conditions at high elevations can change rapidly. Always follow instructions of the tour guide/expedition leader.
- Consumption of alcohol or drugs during active trekking or riding hours is strictly prohibited.
- Ensure you are adequately covered by adventure travel insurance.
